About Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF)
In 2004, the Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF) was founded by Raymond “Ray” Mohler Jr. At just six years old, Ray triumphed through a diagnosis of Legg-Calve-Perthes Disease (LCPD), a rare childhood condition in which the femoral head temporarily lacks adequate blood flow and supply. Although the condition caused young Ray a great deal of pain in his early years, remarkably, he was ultimately able to find revitalization in the difficult experience. Even at a young age, he was able to recognize how fortunate he is that LCPD is non-life-threatening and manageable through treatment, which makes full recovery possible. For that, Ray is forever grateful. Unfortunately, through his journey, Ray also realized that not every kid in the hospital had the same fighting chance.
The experience of treatment and enduring the hardships of an illness or condition is no small feat for anyone; for young children, the fear, anxiety and isolation hits even harder. Even at a young age, Ray Mohler Jr. knew that he had to do something to give back to hospitalized kids. At six years old, Ray established the Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF) with a clear goal in mind: to help and inspire kids in need. Inspired by his own experiences, Ray is particularly passionate about developing programs that help children relieve the fear, anxiety and confusion they feel during hospital visits.
Board Member
Inspired by Raymond Mohler Jr.’s motivational story and commitment to charity and community involvement, Rob DiNoto joined forces with Little Saint Nick Foundation as a Board Member. DiNoto’s connection to LSNF runs deep. His young son Nicholas DiNoto sadly passed away after enduring a tough battle for his life at Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center. LSNF has proudly supported Cohen’s since 2002. In memory of his son Nicholas, DiNoto signed on as a Board Member of LSNF, a role he has proudly maintained for many years now. Through his community involvement, DiNoto strives to uplift and empower the lives of children in need and their families. A family-focused individual himself, he is particularly passionate about participating in community projects that include all members of the family. The Community Leader and Board Member knows firsthand just how important and valuable a strong support system is for a child experiencing medical hardships. The opportunity to help strengthen that support system, in any way that he can, is incredibly enriching to DiNoto.
